Murphy says a friend of Hallady's described him as "shy" but said he would probably go to Philly, NY, Boston, etc.

Utley's shy, too! Hook it up, Rube!
I just hope Halladay doesn't ask Rolen or Barajas about Philadelphia.
FWIW, Halladay is a Colorado guy as is Lidge. They're the same age and probably played against each other in high school, so they have that going for them, which is nice.
Unless they hated each other in high school.
edit: yessssssHalladay is married and has two children. He and his wife are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Didn't Lidge thank Jesus upon winning the World Series?

That being said anyone want to float out some newspaper headlines for when we get him?
And if we get him before the break what team/league would he be pitching for?
One source told Ed Price of MLB Fanhouse that "the Phillies are leaders at this point" in the Roy Halladay sweepstakes. However, that doesn't mean the Jays ace will be dealt. As another source points out, J.P. Ricciardi is not in a hurry to trade Halladay, so there's an equal chance he stays in Toronto.
And the haul Halladay could bring? The Erik Bedard trade (Adam Jones, George Sherrill and others) and the Dan Haren trade (Carlos Gonzalez, Brett Anderson and others) could be benchmarks.

I think the Phillies have a great chance at getting him if he is actually dealt. that's the question. I don't know if he will even be dealt. I think Riccardi might just not trade him at all

God, he's a mormon? Maybe we could get Reid on the recruiting trail

New Mormon temple is gonna be built in Philly soon, so there's that.
