So, how does he tell what hole cards he has? Does he have assistance or some sort of optical/audio device? Or does he just bet, fold and raise depending on what he hears and smells around him?

The latter would be amazing.

He is allowed to have an assistant sit behind him and tell him the cards and the action.

Possibly one of the more insane tables today will be table 26.

This table includes Justin "Jurollo" Rollo, Andrew "Foucault" Brokos, and Matt "Matt24" Sterling, who are all very solid internet players, all play pretty aggressively, and all know a lot about how each other play. Should be a fun one to watch.

I'm guessing the feature table will be 206, which includes chipleader Gus Hansen, pro Carlos Mortensen, and pro Gavin Smith. I don't know any of the other names at the table.

I think I played with him when I was out there in March (either 1/2 NL or 2/5 NL at the Mirage). Have to admit I was not too keen about his "spotter" sitting between he and I; but I got over my initial apprehension and wound up have a rather interesting conversation with him and his spotter. They are an odd couple (if it was them) -- Hal an older guy and his spotter a pretty young (30ish?) dude. One thing that really made me laugh apparently the spotter has very little poker knowledge at all. He rattles off the deal and then whispers the hole cards in his ear then and Hal barely (if ever) asked questions like what did the guy in seat 3 have, etc. I was impressed.......then felted him, lol.

Cards are in the air and Hansen's table is the feature table, as expected.

Chris 'Jesus' Ferguson is out, sadly. Was hoping he'd go deep. He tried a resteal with A5dd for about 60k (blinds are 1500/3000). His opponent tanked for a while...and finally called with QQ which held up.

Funny story..

Celebrity Shock
"Sorel Mizzi, sorry to bother you, but I've got someone here who'd like to meet you," the floor staff said after getting Mizzi's attention. Mizzi turned around to see a very tall Norm Macdonald standing behind him.

Norm Macdonald has been walking the tournament floor area here for the last twenty minutes or so, while ESPN camera crews and Harrahs media followed him.

"I'm a big fan," Norm said while shaking Mizzi's hand. "I've watched you play a lot."

"Oh yeah? You've watched me play?"

"Yeah, online, I watch you play online a lot."

"Really?"

It was a little hard to determine which celebrity was more shocked, Macdonald or Mizzi. But each of them seemed incredibly happy to meet the other and as Norm walked away from the table, the other players there immediately chimed in with, "What did he just say?"

Sorel Mizzi probably wipes his ass with more $ than I have in my poker bankroll.

Damn.

Tony (aka George) Dunst, one of the best guys from twoplustwo who was still left just got knocked out.

He flopped a straight with 95o on a 876 flop. Turn was a 2. Lots of action ensued, he finally got called by a guy with 88...river 7 to give the other guy a boat.

BOOO!!!

did the bubble break yet

seke, I don't know if you missed it but Kenny Tran is leading the tourney as of the latest chip counts at Poker News

Huck Seed is sick, I'd put my money on him to win if I could.

Humberto Brenes is almost out!!! The CHARK IS DYING!

Nope, but they're getting there. Probably a little earlier than my prediction of 7 PM as there are 680 players left as of 25 mins ago (so probably more like 670-660 now) and the bubble is 621.
