I think there is a decent chance the Mets run the table and force a one game playoff.

IF the Phillies rattled off an 8-0 week (hahahahahahahahahahahahaha), the Nationals could force a tie by taking 2 of 3 from Cleveland, the Cubs by going 5-1 (at Pittsburgh, at St. Louis), and the Mets by going 6-1 (Miami, Atlanta).

Frankly I am amazed our chances are this good.

Think all of these last posts are gonna be true... Kapler is gone whether he should be or not... I think he's gone... Cubs don't make the playoffs and Maddon is gone... Maddon seems like a guy Middleton would love... Maddon can get to Hazleton easily on the turnpike to 80 or 81... Joe Maddon will be the Phillies manager next year... players will get healthy and Middleton will spend on pitching or they trade for pitching and the Phils are a playoff team next year... cause Joe Maddon is a genius

I don’t really have a strong opinion about Kapler, but bringing in Maddon seems like at worst a neutral move/likely positive in terms of an established track record? Do people have issues with him as a manager beyond seeming a little full of himself? As far as overreactions go this seems like an acceptable one.

Just can’t think this solves the other issues with the roster.

Hard to see the Phillies winning, but the Nats might lose. Other people's misery is always at least a little enjoyable.
