Kapler has been unfairly criticized since day 1 IMO but he doesn't help his cause having to do a press conference after every game. Jumping through hoops to say positive things instead of just being honest.

Haha true. My comment is probably more of a result of being at the end of 162 post game press conferences.

I mentioned (something similar to) this in the game thread, but...
The first meaningful game of 2010 featured Hall of Famer Roy Halladay on the mound in Washington and the President throwing the first pitch.
The last "meaningful" game of 2019 featured journeyman Blake Parker on the mound in Washington and the President facing impeachment.
What a decline over this decade.
