Since April 30, Franco has appeared in 74 games and is hitting just .218 with a .272 OBP and a .626 OPS with 8 homers.
This is a simple game. You throw the ball, you hit the ball, you catch the ball.

On the list of stuff that has gone wrong for the Phillies during the rebuild, Maikel Franco failing to become even a Pedro Feliz-level big leaguer is close to the top. Who was the last “bluechip” hitting prospect who has panned out for the Phillies: Franco, Crawford, Brown...

FYI Hoskins was never a Top 100 prospect

Guys who were traded haven’t fared much better...Singleton, Gose, Donald, Cardenas, Marson...D’Arnaud at least hasn’t been a complete failure

Probably Domingo Santana. But, yeah, Villar would be the only other possibility

1. Hoskins was around #71 when he was called up
2. Kingery?
3. Haseley looks promising so far

Yea. No point in expecting Maik to suddenly figure it out at this point. He's at the point where a big leap forward just gets him to average. Can't keep running that out there everyday. That said, really don't want to see Scott there everyday either. Don't want to rush Bohm, but it's worth a chance.

They won't platoon. Kingery will play every day, Miller is a bat off the bench

Jen Utley on 97.5 this morning:

"So we had adopted our dog Jack, went and did the whole World Series that night when they won … so we go out all night. We were at Pat Burrell’s house celebrating that night after the win. And we probably came home at like 5am and we had our new puppy, who was in a crate. We get up at 7, he’s just whining, whining, whining, and we are like lifting our eyelids up with cranes. And the dog, because he’s a baby, has had explosive – I’m gonna let you fill in the blank – and we are like 'Oh my God!' wrapping this puppy in a towel at 7am the morning after the World Series win. Down on the street of Washington Square, hosing off this dog and hosing out his crate.”

Least surprising news ever about PtB

No but I am fascinated by the commercials and how I only hear them on WIP.

I always wondered you would even begin to pull that scam off. Like you wrecked your car usually involves not being able to get it home in the first place.

Besides shaving, Bryce also changed his batting stance again. His bat is now straight up instead of over his shoulder

i was llol (literal laugh out loud) the first time i heard rhys' radio commercial which was 30 straight seconds of him reading a script with the enthusiasm of a wooden stick, including phrases talking about excitement and whatnot.
