This IL team is getting pretty good. I hope we don't run into them in the playoffs

Wonder who’s getting hurt in the next week so Nick can come back up.

Roman is due. I may have dreamed it but didn't he hurt his groin recently?

Also Re: Arrieta not wanting long intervals of not throwing between innings. Why not have him head to the batting cage and toss a ball to stay loose? Like running backs on the stationary bike on the sidelines between series.

MRI revealed Morgan's flexor strain injury is in the same spot as earlier this year but is more severe and he may not return this season. No surgery, just rest

So I made this post about a year ago:

Here's kind of a random question I had the other day, that I thought of thanks to that stupid new Braves mascot: How much do you suppose the Phanatic is worth to the Phillies as a brand identifier? I mean it's a tricky question, because to any other entity I guess he'd be worthless - or, if not exactly worthless, the question would be irrelevant because he is not for sale - but how much value does he add to the Phillies brand? I think he's easily the most recognizable mascot in sports, he turns up in the pop culture a pretty fair amount in non-Phillies-specifics contexts, and yet people associate him with the "Phillies" as the "Phillie Phanatic." He, in other words, probably brings the Phillies a fair amount of brand-recognition to people who would otherwise be disinclined to recognize the Phillies brand - non-sports fans, casual fans of sports without a big rooting interest in baseball, etc.

He's definitely valuable, but how valuable? I know: $600/hour, according to a recent article on how much it costs to bring the guy to your birthday party.

And now it looks as though this question is about to get an answer through a protracted legal process:

Wow and swish was awfully prescient in that thread:

I dunno about Soren's statement. There's nothing Philadelphia Phillies about the Phanatic other than the cap jersey and sanitary hose. If he (or rather, the costume, I guess, though back in Dave Raymond days the inhabitant was also closely identified) were a free agent I bet they would have to make a pretty sweet deal to keep him. I wonder if the gentlemanly aura of baseball would prevent other teams from employing him, thoguh. Probably just become the Amazon Addict like everything else.

Has anyone, as a result of the incessant radio commercials during Phillies games, going on for years now, ever checked out seehowtheylie.com for more real life stories of insurance fraud?

And by that I mean anyone.

It doesn't exist. It's just a fabrication for the radio ad

No but I am fascinated by the commercials and how I only hear them on WIP.
