Monday's "Big Time Baseball" podcast

I’ve also heard Mike Scioscia is very interested in this job, not a shocker. He did step away from the Angels, was not going to be retained there. They went towards analytics, away from old school. But it would be interesting to see whether Scioscia could be a candidate, and Joe Maddon as well. Another guy from Pennsylvania.

The Maddon part is weird because he’s managing another team, and I think Scioscia will be mentioned for any decent team with a manager spot open

It's just that Maddon's contract is up and he is a Hazleton guy so it's a connect the dots type of thing
Even if you get run over by a clown car and pissed on by a busload of school children, it's still your responsibility to interpret the meaning of the event and choose a response

Or he's angling for a bigger contract with his current team.

Since Girardi was cut loose by the Yankees, there have been whispers that the Cubs wanted to hire him and allow Maddon to leave. Chicago’s refusal to extend Maddon only adds credibility to that scenario.

I just bought tickets to the Wednesday night game last week of the season vs. the Nats, already had tickets for the Tuesday. Upping my odds of being in the park when we're officially eliminated.

Always in.

I've had my ticket voucher from the Phillies fan club thing all year. Never used it. Have three games left to pick from and one is this weekend and I'll be at the shore. Hoping we're still in it in two weeks.

Same, but if we're out of it, I'm seriously considering paying top $ on Seatgeek to go see Stereolab instead.

Going Nola, Vargas, Eflin this weekend against the Mets, Nola on regular rest, and giving Eflin extra rest

Phillies will miss Thor and deGrom if things stay the same
