Phillies 2019 Discussion III: The Dog Days of Bummer

Didn't Belichick fine someone for rushing to the hospital while his wife was having a kid?

Has anyone ever did the opposite of the "I know that is what he/she would have wanted" when someone dies and they decide to play when they have a kid. "I know that's what the baby would want". I guess if you wanted a divorce that would be a good way to fast track it.

Man. I'm in Miami. Gonna go to the game tonight and tomorrow maybe. Sad about not seeing Harper.

"Harper doesn't care about the fans who paid money to travel to Miami to see him play."

Jim Salisbury@JSalisburyNBCS

The Atlanta Braves continue to pluck good baseball people from the Phillies. Hearing that California-based scout Joey Davis, who signed Rhys Hoskins and others, is headed to the Braves, joining Joe Jordan, Rick Kranitz and others

Wish they'd take the scouts from the southeast responsible for Corn and Larry

This has to be a practical joke.

19 runs to these?

7-0 should be ok.

He's got potential. Maybe next year. Need to reexamine his pitch mix this off-season.

I say this as someone who never says this sort of stuff, but he needs to get a lot tougher if he wants to be a pro. Guy falls apart at the first sign of adversity. He's gonna be 27 in February, running out of potential.

At the risk of sounding like Ricky Bo, I agree 100%
(Brandy) only hinted at Halladay's personal issues during her Hall of Fame speech last July, when she said, "Roy would want everyone to know that people are not perfect. We're all imperfect and flawed in one way or another. We all struggle."
