Lashing out at him for correctly pointing out Bernie has no chance is weird.

That's exactly what happened.

You sound more like Dick Morris every day. What's your position on podophilia?

-AP breaks story yesterday about Iran being largely responsible for carrying out its own inspections at Parchin
-AP overnight edits the copy removing some details to create space to add more reaction quotes for what they send out to their print subscribers
-Liberal sites such as Vox, Talking Points Memo (who said the story sounded eye poppingly scary before the most important details were 'scrubbed'), and pacino's Haaretz link jump all over the edits, claiming AP stealthily retracted the meat of the story
-AP explains they didn't retract anything, the updated online version was what they sent to their print subscribers, and they restore the cut details to the online version of the story
-To quell the continuing complaints for how they handled the story, AP releases the transcript of the draft memo, demonstrating that Iran is largely responsible for carrying out its own inspections at Parchin
-Liberal responses shift to "Oh Parchin isn't that important anyway" and "They can look at it with satellites" (see pacino's reaction...glad I'm the only one who has a team to give him talking points)
-docsmooth shuffles in at 1 AM, calls me Dick Morris for saying something anyone who had been following the story online today knew was true 10 hours ago

Honestly, why do you bother? There has to be a better board for engaging folks on politics. This thread is all hot takes and name calling. Probably why reasonable people like dajafi no longer post. I feel like an idiot just for reading this thread, and learning all about Bernie Sanders' libertarian following. I'm just waiting for the growing contradiction that is docsmooth's misogyny and blind loyalty to the Democratic party to come to a crushing head.

Hard to believe lefties in this thread are contentious to you and your friend.

Oh and it looks like you need help with the difference between "misogny" and "misanthropy", not that either applies in this instance.

If I'm the Democrats, I do everything I can to convince Elizabeth Warren to run. Hillary Clinton was a flawed candidate in 2008 and she's a flawed candidate now.

I'm planning on voting for Bernie Sanders but I don't see him winning the general. Warren would win pretty easily however.

- North Korea approves "final attack" on South Korea

- Kim Jong Un has ordered border troops into "wartime state"

- South Korean official says North Korea broke the ceasefire agreement

- South Korea orders troops to prepare for war

Korean war scheduled for tomorrow.

Only one of Bernie / Elizabeth can run. If they both run, they split the progressive vote and Hillary walks to November.

Good point.

Do you get the sense that Hillary is flawed or am I overreacting?

I don't think Warren would have a shot in hell to win in the general election. Sanders either.

The fact that he's the only candidate out there that is fighting for 2 of the things people most want(income equality and campaign finance reform) shouldn't be overlooked.

I still think he'll lose to HRC, but his ceiling has gone from "maybe making a few states interesting and make HRC campaign on far left issues" to "maybe challenging for the nomination". Gotta keep the momentum going.

I would like to know about actual libertarians who support Sanders.

Nobody is basing their vote on a candidate's stance on campaign finance reform. And it's really hard to come up with people, outside of those that are socialists, that want equal income. Really, that is what "most people want," income equality for all?

I think she would have a shot. A lot can happen and her competition is not exactly exciting. Clinton is a mess and always has been. The Repubs are headed by the Donald right now. Most of the real candidates will probably have to say/do dumb stuff to combat him.

She might Obama right in.

No way. Warren's too far to the left to win the general. On the political spectrum, where 10 is the mostest left...
Sen. Bernie Sanders (8.32) falls furthest to the left on the chart, followed closely by Sen. Elizabeth Warren (8.24)

I'm looking forward to the first national election where neither a Bush or a Clinton is running for the nomination. Dynastic politics is scary and should be avoided.

income equality is an issue a lot of voters care about this election. so is campaign finance reform.

the "libertarians" i'm referencing are 20 and 30 somethings who don't know what libertarian means but they voted for Gary Johnson last election so they're all about the movement except they're actually fiscally liberal instead of way fiscally conservative.

believe it or not, but i talk to a lot of The Real People on a daily basis and sometimes politics comes up. i talked to a guy a few weeks back who described himself as a Republican who hates entitlements for "lazy people", but then went on to say how he planned on switching parties before the primary if Bernie kept doing well. i asked him why for obvious reasons and he told me he liked his views on campaign finance reform and said we needed to move away from wealth only accumulating for the richest in this country. this is not an isolated incident. it's happened at least a dozen times where someone who says they're a Republican or Libertarian has told me they'd vote for Bernie.

thanks for the actual attempt to discuss this.
