Kind of surprised at the restraint Walker and his aides are showing in not attacking or acknowledging Trump to gain short term traction.

Rubio and Walker are running much better campaigns than Bush, I wonder if some of the big PAC money will start being diverted to them if this continues.

jerz, TV, what's in it for the Kentucky Republican Party to be so nice to Rand Paul? Do they not have any other Republican candidate lined up for his Senate seat?

Jerry "Big Nads" Nadler, NYC congressman & member of the jewish faith, declares his support for the Iran deal

So he's either a supremely gutsy man of principle, prepared to champion a compromise for the least-worst prospects for the middle east's (and oh yeah, America's) future that recognizes Iran can't simultaneously be a fragile economic flower prepared to wilt with application of just a little more economic defoliant and a monolithic, implacable Death Star of nuclear annihilation,

or

a shrewd vote-counting sumbitch who understands that the deal's survival is assured save for the shouting and handwringing?

Probably some mix of these, plus stuff none of us are privy to

It's sad to see otherwise-intelligent folks latch onto incompetent candidates.

I do know the feeling of having someone to root for. The feeling of disgust with the current POTUS and the Hope for Change.

I now have FB friends openly backing Trump, for instance. Geez, I could grin and bear Rick Perry or Bobby Jindal - they might even be perferable to Hillary. But Trump! Trump??!?!

Another guy is hitching his wagon to Ben Carson. There is plenty to like about Carson, but not as POTUS. He should stick to being a motivational speaker.

Consider 2000, when the GOP primary included Liz Dole, john Kasich, Steve Forbes, Lamar Alexander, Bush and McCain. Yes, there were some token did-he-really-say-that black guys like Alan Keyes and Herman Cain.

Even better, 1988, which included Jack Kemp, Bob Dole, Pete DuPont

Still, each one includes one or more wackos. Pat Buchanan, Pat Robertson, Keyes,

FWIW, I am a staunch Democrat who has literally not voted for a Republican candidate since the year 2000 (voted for McCain in the PA primary vs Bush). The Republican establishment's pushing and condoning of Bush / Rove's actions in the 2000 primaries vs McCain, who really was as close to an independent at the time, swore me away from the party ever since (affair with a black woman and child out of wedlock robo calls and mailers BS).

I'm supporting Trump mainly for one reason.......he is the only candidate who is beholden to nobody. Every other candidate on either side is bought and paid for. For God sake, Jeb and Hillary have the same exact donors buying them off......huge corporations who cannot lose no matter what. You know exactly what you are going to get with every other candidate in the field on either side and that is more of the same cronyism and disgraceful (IMO) governing.

Would Trump be a good POTUS? I have no idea, but IMO the system is so shattered at this point that it's worth taking a shot on a guy who is completely anti-establishment. Anyone else falling into that category has zero chance of winning a primary let alone a nomination.

It's a protest vote, but hopefully one with a chance.

Money influences politics too much. Let's vote for the guy who is only in the polls because he has tons of money!
