For years my five closest high school friends and I have had an active email chain on GMail where we discuss politics, sports, life, amusing current events, etc. Three of us are right of center (yours truly and Werthless are two), three are left of center (former BSG poster Harpua on this side of the aisle). We're all pretty smart (I am the loser of the six who has not attended at least one Ivy League school), and we have some good debates.

About a month ago, I started an email chain sending around right leaning articles among the three conservatives/libertarians of the group. On the one hand I feel bad and feel like I'm contributing to the cocooning of American politics. But it's sorta nice to be able to talk politics and revel in the flaws of the enemy with people you generally agree with on the issues. I can see how it's an easy trap to fall into.

VA AG race is sitting at a difference of 117 @ the moment. At one point is was just 17. 17 out of 2,200,000. Currently canvasing votes, so this will move up and down. Deadline for reporting is 6PM tonight. Then it will be a untold amount of time until the recount is processes, because there has been a promise of a recount if available (not unreasonable, especially with this razor thin margin). At the moment the Democrat is up. By noon, who knows.

Yeah, because Exxon & friends don't even need to 'protest' any negative reporting about them because they own anyone & any org who might report on them

There has actually never been any negative reporting on oil or gas companies ever
