I used to mow a few neighborhood yards back in the 80s. I got 10 bucks then, and no tip. 10 bucks would be enough to buy a tank of gas, and the yard wasn't that big. I'd say you're underpaying, but I was probably over paid.

we definitely are, but that's what they asked us for. the first time they came by, our yard was a mess. grass was like 2 ft long since the landlord decided not to mow the lawn before we moved in. we paid them $50 that time.

yea, plus the dude said he was going to ship it yesterday (with tracking) and didn't. I have three things I've been waiting to ship for 2 or more days.
