Kids aren't near as enterprising anymore. I'd pay a kid $20 easy to shovel for me in the winter but none ever come around.

Thanks Obama.

I was just thinking about that post. Was that the first time Trent dropped "FFS"? If so, hands down greatest BSG post of time

that stinks, was it general vandalism or was that used as a way to break into your car and take stuff?

If you're a pope watcher, as I sometimes am, you need to keep in mind that the Roman Church is a 2000 year old institution. If there are to be reforms, much less changes in doctrine, they are not going to come quickly. The Church is playing the long game.

If anything was stolen, I didn't notice it. Soft case for my sunglasses was on top of the console so I think they reached in. The small amount of change in the cup holders was left untouched.

Pisses me off. Insurance is going to pick up the tab and, supposedly, the apartment complex is going to through me a free spot in one of their lots, but it's enough to sour me on humanity for a bit.

Drunken driving charges have been filed against a southern New Jersey man who authorities say was driving a box truck that was on fire and missing its front tires.

Lakehurst police tell the Asbury Park Press that 36-year-old Michael Newmon of Manchester was hanging partially out of the cab window because of a shattered windshield when he was stopped around 3 a.m. Saturday.

Authorities say the truck had tree branches caught in it, with fire and smoke coming from below.

Because the truck was driven on its rims, police followed the marks left in the road and traced Newmon's journey about 15 miles to the Route 70/Route 72 circle in Burlington County. They found the truck had driven across the circle, struck a tree and drove through bushes.

He must have had himself a big Friday. His Saturday did not get off to a good start.

so our rental house has this token slot machine in the living room. The key is there, along with a bunch of tokens. I just can't figure out how to turn it on. Maybe it doesn't even work. Anybody have any clue??

This is the only web mention I can find that matches:

How drunk do you have to be to not notice you're driving a burning truck with no front tires.

I bought new living room furniture tonight. In my wallet I had a coupon for $100 off and like a complete and utter dipshit forgot to use it. I read the fine print and you can't use it for something already purchased even it hasn't been delivered yet. I better love this furniture because that's going to haunt me every time I look at it.

You might call and try to get the discount anyway--good will and such may make it worthwhile for the store. Or, buy something else!

You could get shitty with them too. If they won't take the coupon, tell them that you want to cancel your order then (if you can do that without losing a deposit or something). Most places will accommodate you if you come right back and say it, they aren't trying to prevent you using it in that use case, they are just trying to cover their asses from people coming back days/weeks later and demanding money back.

Yeah, I mean I'll probably give it a try anyway. It's pretty clear and unambiguous on there, so it may be hard to make my case, but the worst they can say is no.

Seriously, if they won't take it, tell them to cancel your order and just rebuy the stuff.

They could deliver it and just pee on the rug on the way out.

You've really given me something to think about. Better sleep on it. (Sleep on the decision I mean, not the peed on furniture or carpet)
