I want to comment in the fitness thread, but I feel like it's only about losing weight now. I lost 2 pounds in the past three months, and I'm a little mad about that. Need more steak.

Yeah, they've really pussied up that thread. I wanna talk about squats and deadlifting and they wanna talk about avoiding delicious food.

Yeah the whole "I squat and deadlier a million pounds yet somehow I still look like a beanpole in posted pictures" thing is one of my favorite running jokes on here.

This is not directed at anyone in particular, more a symptom of the Internet.

usually it is a big mistake to go to ikea on a saturday... the place was packed, parking sucked, not enough cashiers and lines to the restroom. i did notice one redeeming thing, there was a 100% compliance with men washing their hands after using the bathroom. i have never quite experienced this type behavior before. i don't know if i could attribute this to small sample size, not wanting to be the outcast, or other socio-economic factors... however if i were DIM, ikea would clearly be on the top of the list for hookups.

I feel like I get a trash bag full of clothes every so often to give to goodwill and it just sits in my room or closet for three months before mysteriously vanishing.

Bar patron charged for buying drinks for a drunk woman


The woman drove home drunk from the bar and killed 2 people in a car wreck here in Houston. She pled guilty, and got sentenced to 38 years.

I think it's a massive overreach by the prosecutor to charge this guy. The bar's already been in trouble for over-serving, and I don't have an issue about that. So because he bought her a drink, he's going to jail, possibly? It's a sad story for sure, but still seems odd to charge someone because he bought a girl a round of drinks.
