You can be drunk and have a wreck that's not your fault. But you're drunk, so you'll probably not prevail if it goes to court.

Being drunk =\= texting at a stop light, besides, cars have built in voice recognition control that integrates with your phone so you can dictate text messages, completely hands free, while you drive.

Even hands free is supposed to be a pretty big distraction from what I've read. Hard to say for sure. But I think some clowns did some kind of test. Don't know if the test was rigged though.

A couple of other stats I saw wit teh google...

In 2011, at least 23% of all auto collisions in the U.S. involved cell phone usage

Texting while driving is 6 times more dangerous than drunk driving
(sez the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration)

Changed Mrs. Vulture's car battery today. I think I broke off about 4 bits of plastic trying to pull the old one out of the car. I wonder how long the electrical tape I used to put everything back together will hold. At least I'll have a pretty good answer to the question "where's that rattle coming from?"

I bought a couple of those scented Skittles candles. My apartment smells like cherry Skittles. Yum.

My mom got full custody of my brother's kid. This is very good news.

I used to have a 212 land line at home. When my ex and I moved out of NY, she ported the 212 number to her cell phone. I wonder if she still has that? There can't be too many 212 cell phone numbers around anymore. I should've taken it for myself.

I like snails more than slugs even though they're pretty much the same thing. I appreciate the effort at domesticity even if the only motive is self-regard.

do they have "Who Can Throw it the Farthest" contests? I'd hang around in a parking lot, drink a few beers, and see who can throw it the farthest

That would be kind of cool except for the part where you wake up the next morning and can't lift your arm to comb your hair.
