I sure am glad I had no aspirations for grad school because I never "participated" in class and I certainly never talked with any of my professors. I would've been hard pressed to find someone to give me a good letter.

My wife taught at DCCC for a bit and had lots of kids she didn't really know ask for letters. Basically, for these kids, their options were limited based on how many classes they were able to take with the same professor.

I know I'll be in this kind of boat later this year, as I try to get to know a professor or two over the course of three quarters who can write something for me for grad school. For me, it's been ten years since undergrad, can't rely on those professors anymore.

Does any bakery still give you 13 donuts if you order a dozen?

Just came across a word document of youtube videos I liked my freshman year of college. #1 on the list was the music video for Separate Ways. This should be good.
