Apropos of nothing, the New York Times is really killing me with this free article limit, when the only content of theirs I want to read is the Internet-only fivethirtyeight.

Use different devices. I use IPad and MacBook and haven't had a problem.

I think if you click through links on Twitter they don't count against your total...or you can do that even when you're already at the limit.

Thanks for the tip - I'll try that out. Should probably be following Nate & Micah anyway.

This is a really good point. Huma is one of the Kool Kidz, and even (especially?) the Beltway Rs like her a lot better than Rep. Bat Shit.

My 11 year old thinks Romney is an idiot for advertising in an online kids game (geared to the Tweens). He said, none of us can vote.

Funny.

Yes, just go to silver's feed https://twitter.com/fivethirtyeight
Two days later I get a text back that says I'm a basketball player and a businessman, not a Thundercat.

There is actually another work-around, but I don't know if I should share it/it's complicated.

Basically click on a link from the Times site, then try to stop the page before it loads all the way (by stop I mean the X in your browser where the refresh button would be). If you do it right, it won't count against your limit, and the entire article will load. Yes, this is confusing and takes some practice/is not a foolproof way, but it has worked for me. In the end, I have a subscription right now and get free digital access, but that subscription runs out soon so I will probably go back to this way.

It gets a little more interesting. The ads are Obama ads because they are positioning Romney as dumping US jobs to cash out to the tune of millions for each company outsourced, reducing taxes on the rich and taxing the everyday citizen. So the campaign is effective as he clearly got the message, even if he though it was Romney sponsored. He elaborated that only a total jerk would brag that he is filthy rich and he got that way by taking jobs from Americans. He was left with the distinct impression that Romney is angling for a way to massive profit by obtaining the office of the president of the United States of America.

It was a reasonably fascinating conversation until we got to his clarification that these ad just eat time when he could be playing.

President Barack Obama's health care overhaul will shrink rather than increase the nation's huge federal deficits over the next decade, Congress' nonpartisan budget scorekeepers said Tuesday, supporting Obama's contention in a major election-year dispute with Republicans.

I would love to take the physical copy of that voter ID law, shred it, and feed it to every Republican member of the PA legislature.
