The best of political mankind and the worst of political mankind in the course of two pages.

I like how Romney is using his wife as a human shield in this fight for women's votes.

adds some zest to the rest of the series
Yes, but in a double utley you can put your utley on top they other guy's utley, and you're the winner. (Swish)

I don't know either. Remotely related: is there any reason to wonder why a squeaky clean type like Romney - or a Romney surrogate - hasn't stirred rumblings about Barry's admitted drug experimentation in his youth?

It's already out there, and so it has no impact and is unlikely to work. Remember, Bush probably did more than just use, he more or less admitted to having a substance abuse problem. We're in a new political era--youthful recreational drug use isn't an issue, but it seems like marital fidelity, not just its appearance, but its reality, is more important than ever.

Dunno about that, seeing as his campaign would basically have been done barring the monetary contributions of one super donor

Twitter going into a little tizzy over Santorum possibly dropping out at this event he's about to have in Gettysburg

No one can find any Santorum staff who will confirm he's staying in, which is probably more of a product of him having a dysfunctional campaign than of him actually dropping out, but I'm turning on CNN anyway

In any case it's a great excuse for me not to do work for the next few minutes

John King is reporting the same. I assume he is going to cite the need to stay home to care for his daughter.

And refit all his hats with fresh tin foil.

It's interesting he is dropping out before Pennsylvania. He might be thinking that a loss in PA would have negative consequences going forward (i.e. beyond this primary).
