I'm letting you know next time one of my friends or cousins get married. Not really, but that would be awesome.

3 hours can mean the difference between watching a game or getting cell phone updates from people on a cell which I am not even allowed to carry in the building. FML

And my nerves are already shot and I am sure they will be murdered by the end of the night.

At least I can watch game 7 but I am pretty pissed and I will kill any man where they stand if they cross me in the coming hours.

I rooted for the Yankees last night. I wanted the early game today, b/c my friend is having a huge Halloween party today starting at 6 until the 4 barrels kick. What I might do is go up at 6 and test the waters as to whether I can watch the game there (it's going to be on, but there is a <1% chance I'll find it a tolerable atmosphere for an elimination game 6 or for a regular season game tbh). I'm going to be walking through town multiple times today in hipster garb.

Yeah, I really wanted the afternoon game. Seemed like a win-win to me: watch the game with some friends on a nice afternoon, if they lose, you go out and console yourself, if they win, your night got that much better.

I had promised a friend of mine I would go to her opening and was looking forward to the party afterward with a shot to crush some mature butt. Now I gotta drag my ass to Old City for the opening and then right back to CC to watch the game.

Luckily, the walk between where the party is to where I'm going to watch the game is like 5 minutes, so I can dip out whenever necessary and only miss a few pitches. I'm going to give it a chance, but I know that by the end of the first I'm going to be irritated and irritating to those around me. I find that the after the 3rd or 4th time you correct someone, they tend not to like your presence anymore, but when it comes to the Phillies I can't help it.

I have work til 10 so I'm trying to get my roommates to go somewhere as close as possible so I can get to a TV asap. Might end up being a party at 4th and Cherry that I'm not invited to.

i also faced this problem. i have something at 7 tonight, so it was either see most of the game, but get stuck watching the final few innings in foreign territory. in this scenario it is possible the phillies are already up big by the time i have to leave. the other scenario was miss the first few innings, but get to see the end of the game. in this case it is possible the phillies are already up big by the time i turn it on.

It occurs to me that my aunt is probably not going to have dinner ready before the game starts

This isn't ideal

I couldn't get my order in on time at the bar Thursday. Four hours of stomach somersaults followed by two cheesesteaks.
