In this case, accounting and business administration. I'm certified Social Studies but I figured I could handle it for a day.

Is there any suckier feeling than going to bed at 12, waking up at 6:30, reaching over to the nightstand to check your work blackberry, and finding that you have 42 fucking new emails?
I know what you're asking yourself and the answer is yes. I have a nick name for my penis. Its called the Octagon, but I also nick named my testes - my left one is James Westfall and my right one is Doctor Kenneth Noisewater.

alright - this is bizarre. Listened to this tune yesterday for the first time in a while, chuckled and then thought of Grote's avatar. (cue Twilight Zone theme).

So how's the new job going?
you sure do seem to have a lot of time on your hands to be on this forum? Do you have a job? Are you a shut-in?

LOL. In light of the fact that this is as bad as it is ever going to get and yet still not 80% as bad as my old job, I'll take it

may not be worse, but the feeling behind my eyes from squishing my freelance work in late at night is not pleasant. Then I wake up and monkeywiz is demanding I build him a lego fire engine.

got some new workboots since I'll be working onsite at a sporting event this weekend, and I don't want to rock up in knackered flimsy converse.

I feel elevated. A giant amongst men.

this must be how trent's world looks.

wiz, what's your hourly rate for editing/proofing? and, can you do it american english, without use of works like didnae, bollocks, and knackered?

£15/$23.20 for proofing,
£18/$27.80 for copy-edit

Last big edit I did was about £24/$37 an hour, but it was unusually well paid and those jobs don't come along regularly.

Yeah, can do american spelling, although if I had to do an edit/copy-edit, I'd need to brush up on possible grammer differences (that england were shite/england was shite business from the world cup is a classic example of stuff it's easy to miss). It's not unusual for me to proof a book which has been rerun from the american text, in which case the publisher usually wants me to keep the american spellings because it's more likely to be consistent and it's also cheaper.
