I've considered going in the past, but haven't. A guy I went to school with published a book that's been nominated for the Phillip K. Dick award, which I think is a product of the PSFS.

No wonder. The Tamil Tigers have been heartbreakers the past few years... decent hitting, but their pitching's atrocious.

My cat just lunged under my monitor, grabbed something in his mouth and stalked off. Should I bother to see what it was?

Just check the litter box in a day or two.

Never mind. He's back in here belting the hell out of a twist tie and thwarting all its efforts to escape. The Great Tabby Hunter.

I received my free copies of my book from my publisher today and I must say I think it looks great. The long, long wait is over and I'm so happy about it. I had these terrible thoughts in my head these last six months that something would happen to stop publication (bad economy forces publisher to shut its doors, bad economy forces publisher to halt production on all but the sure thing bestsellers, or something else I can't fathom). I'm just so glad today finally arrived and now nobody can take it away from me..

It's funny, I knew it was coming, but didn't know when. I came home from work tonight and saw there was a UPS notice of attempted delivery. I called them and asked if I could pick it up from their service center. What a strange ride it was to pick up the package. Phillies pre-game is going on the radio and I've got tears flowing for the incredible Harry memories yet I'm driving to get something I've wanted since I was a little kid. Strange juxtaposition of emotions.

By the way, if you pre-ordered my book from Amazon, they began shipping yesterday. You'll probably have it sometime next week.

I'll say this...leaving the house with the Phils down 1 with two at bats to go, the Devils tied, the Marlins losing, the Mets tied, and to come home to all four of those results to go the wrong way is about one of six and really awful.

My roommate, whom I met up with, is a Flyers fan, and almost put his fist through the TV when Biron hilariously decided that covering the short side of the goal was unimportant, and thus he was angry for the rest of the night.

What an awful evening of sports all around.

That sucks. Broken toes hurt like hell and there's generally nothing you can do about it.
