Still sick. I just changed insurance too to a company that isn't accepted by my regular doctor. So now it is a big hassle to go somewhere else because they have all these new patient procedures that I have to go through.

Paint something! Then you can own an original Houshphandzadeh for just the cost of materials.

How much can you afford? I think there are occasional art shows in places like New Hope where you can pick up a decent painting framed and ready for hanging for a couple of hundred bucks.

But if you really want to start buying art, I've heard the best route to go for those with limited budgets is photography.

35 years ago, my parents commissioned a painting by this guy. They think it might be worth something now, but I kind of doubt it. But it is a nice painting.

I like photography, but I'd really like a large, at least 3x4 painting for my room. Unfortunately, those are all at least $1,500.

i have to give a presentation on bose-einstein condensate today. the professor pronounces bose like "boise" (bo-zee) without the "i" sound when he says bose-einstein, but not when he calls on me.

it's weird. make the damn connection already.

Yea. Dual masters program in either Public Administration or International Affairs and Public Health. Not sure about the first part of the equation yet.

My Ph.D hopes flamed out after I couldn't get guaranteed funding for the duration from either of the schools that accepted me. Oh well.....role with the punches.

When you say "guaranteed funding for the duration" do you mean you got say 4 years of funding? Because that's pretty common to get 4 or 5 years of funding, and then generally people making progress can work something out for their final two years.

Maybe you couldn't get funding because you don't know the difference between roll and role. Am I right or am I right?

Florida State could only guarantee 1 year of funding because of their current budget struggles. Then it was year to year. They made it seem like it wouldn't have been that big of a problem and that it was a formality, but it made me really uncomfortable.
