Why would people join a BSG pickem league and not just use their screen name here, or at the very least a derivative thereof that is readily identifiable?

Did anyone watch that Will Ferrell special on HBO, A Final Night With George Bush? Was it funny?

Decent. I was a little disappointed.

It's on HBO again at 11:30. I'll either watch it then or wait until it is on HBO West at 2:30.

It had some really funny parts, but I think they had enough bits that missed the mark that brought down the performance. I thought the best part was the few minutes at the end when he interacts with the audience.

That'll work then. I just didn't want to watch it if the whole thing completely sucked.

I "watched" it Saturday night after we got home from the bar/Ben's Chili Bowl. It led to about a 2.5 hour political argument with my roommate who is from Jordan about Iraq, George Bush, abortion, tax policy and all sorts of other dumb stuff while we were both borderline blackout drunk. It was pretty special. The third roommate, who is also a conservative, was really into it while I was sitting back at first, then just randomly went to bed without saying anything. Good times.

Last time I had one of those it was a blast. Except IIRC it was just my one buddy who was blackout drunk and myself and the other guy involved were sober (though I was trying to catch up). My buddy kept winking for no good reason and kept cutting me off and turning it into a circular argument. I was so mad.

The alarm going off for jury duty is going to suck. On the bright side, it might knock my sleep schedule more back on track by tomorrow night.

So, to get back to the St. Patty's discussion, I had the most interesting walk home of my life tonight. Saw a guy walk directly into traffic, then, because we were going the same way, I got to hear him call all his friends and blame them for his almost getting run over ("dude, do you know what just happened to me? I almost got run over because I was on my way to your house") Then I turn to my right, and see a guy sitting down, pants around his ankles, on someone's front step, crying. I guess he was taking a dump, but maybe he just sits down to pee. He, too, was on a cell phone, obviously lamenting the fact that he was taking a crap on the sidewalk. Then I stopped to pee in some bushes, then I saw some cops parked on the sidewalk. There's going to be a day when I drop acid and wander around Savannah, and these things will all start to make sense to me.

I bitch about how the alarm going off is going to suck, but then I wake up three minutes before it, perfectly ready to start the day. Guess I'm just itching to go indict rapists.

if you don't know what the wrestlers are trying to do--how certain moves and holds are supposed to work and so forth, then it might just look like too sweaty guys rolling around on a mat.

Oh. I'm replying to a Steagles post. Um. OK.
