Scalia, Thomas, Roberts and Alito can't die for 4-8 years. That's pretty much what this comes down to. It's not like anyone is going to be more liberal than Ginsberg and Stevens, who are the two most likely to retire. I guess Kennedy could retire, and that might be bad.
