I was in a conference call tonight with a guy that used back-to-back-to-back metaphors that involved golf ("we're either laying up or going for the green"), baseball ("we've got two outs in the bottom of the ninth" and football ("are we going to punt?"). It was hard to tell if he was a big sportsfan or simply a big dickbag.

How is it possible that the Rachel Ray show is the least offensive thing to my intelligence on daytime TV right now?

I passed a copy store this morning called "Mirror Image Duplication." Isn't that a really terrible name for a copy store?

The score to the film Speed is absolutely brilliant. Ditto for Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Last of the Mohican's, and Predator 2. None are better than Horner's score for Aliens, though.

I wonder how long it will take to clear the solid 1' thick sheet of ice and snow in my driveway? Over/under is March 4
you sure do seem to have a lot of time on your hands to be on this forum? Do you have a job? Are you a shut-in?

Good luck. It took me four days to get out of my parking spot on the street in front of my home. It was like the car was set in concrete. I finally got out yesterday and even that was a struggle.

A chunk of snow/ice slid from an awning and fell on the back of my head as I was walking down the sidewallk near 16th and McKean today. Do you understand how many things had to come together at the right (or wrong) time to have that happen? I just stood there laughing and then kind of jumping around as the coldness started to go down the back of my neck.

I did learn that the guy who stands outside the corner store and usually yells at me in Spanish knows at least a little bit of English. All I heard after it happened was him yelling, "Oh, _ _ _ _!!"
