If I had a small business with workstations, I might set everyone's computer clock five minutes behind.

Channel 6's Amy Buckman has a cold, and she's sounding mighty sexy.

Is the New Yorker the same as National Lampoon these days? I can't keep up with these media mergers. (The cartoons would probably be funnier , though).

I'd like vegetarian chili better if it had meat in it.

I like Fridays. Especially this one--it's a beautiful Spring day, I rode my bike to work, and as long as it doesn't rain, I plan on going to a meaningful baseball game after work.

I consider Kicking and Screaming a Whit Stilman movie.

I had an interview yesterday. I had sent my resume to their corporate recruiter and she set it up with the regional person I'd meet with. So I took a half day off and went down there. I got there and the guy I was supposed to interview with wasn't there. The recruiter never told him I was coming in, and now the recruiter is out on maternity leave. WTF. What kind of company would put up with this shit? They want to reschedule but I really don't think I want to waste my time with them. Piss off.

Whaddaya mean? That sounds like a great company to work for. No one seems to hold anyone accountable, plenty of shirking, lots of bureaucracy.

Or.......

If it's a public company, you could sell short......

Why do people write 'no pun intended' after they just used a pun with clear intent?

Recruiters are pains in the asses, and I don't like them. But they have the keys to the good jobs that don't show up in the unwashed seas of massive job search boards, so you have no choice.

I particularly resented the notion that I would take time off to go interview with the recruiter. No way. I got a life here, I interview for real jobs with real companies that will make me an offer, not pretend interviews with recruiters who just want to "feel me out".

How do people end up with such long nose hairs? Do they not look in the mirror?

THey just pop out. And cutting them is not easy, unless you've got the proper tool.
