I just put my bluetooth headset through the washer and dryer.

And it seems to work just fine.

And it's really clean.

No, not on purpose, lunkead.

Maybe I should try that. Mine hasn't ever worked very well.

I was there! Well, not the live show. I went to the dress rehearsal at 8:00. Pretty cool experience to see a taping of SNL. The dress rehearsal is about a half-hour longer than the live show. They cut skits that don't work and cut some jokes out of the skits that do.

As for Arcade Fire, they were indeed awesome. It's a shame they had guitar problems during the live show. It's amazing how many people didn't know who they were. One woman annoyed the hell out of me while we were waiting in line beforehand. She was like, "Who are they? Army Fire? I thought you had to be big to be on SNL." It was so pompous. It never donned on her that she was the one who was out of touch.

And becasue I'm a big loser I went home and watched the live airing to see which skits they cut. Some that I thought were duds made it to air, while a pretty funny coffin-salesman sketch didn't.

How'd you swing that?

Back to the random thoughts:

Wasn't President's Day TWO WEEKS AGO?!? GM needs to get a calendar.

Is it Presidents' Day or President's Day?
Fine. You wanna act like you're two? I'll act like I'm one.

They have a lottery every August. You just send an email, and then if you're lucky, one day out of nowhere you get an email saying you're going to SNL. Just a matter of chance whether you get the dress-rehearsal or the live show. And it's free, which is nice.

Something that really bothers me is people that have no regards for germs/gross behavior of any kind. I hate the idea that a guy that works at Mickey D's might have played with his balls ten seconds before putting my hamburger together. I especially hate when people that are making my food do gross things in front of me. Yesterday when I went to the local 6 pack to get some beer and a hoagie, the person that made it first scratched his nose, then he stuck his finger up there a little bit. I wanted to kill the guy with a trident but instead didn't say anything. I couldn't eat the hoagie though.
Do it again!

I was at a McDonald's once and the girl was trying to make two sundaes for me. She had something in one hand, and couldn't separate the two cups... so she used her teeth. As if that was a perfectly acceptable appendage to solve food service problems.

All in all, I think people underestimate their immune systems. You can get as freaked out as you want about what you see - what you don't see and what people don't do deliberately are probably much worse. I'd bet most McDonalds' (for example) are cleaner than your own kitchen.

Is it Presidents' Day or President's Day?

I was listening to a radio report on this a while back. A couple of maybe interesting facts:

The official name of the federal holiday is still Washington's Birthday. It's commonly thought that Washington's and Lincoln's birthdays were merged into some sort of official Presidents' Day, but this never happened and the term is pretty much the creation of advertisers. Some states do refer to the holiday as Presidents Day or Presidents' Day, following common practice.

Washington's (or Lincoln's for that matter) actual birthday can never fall on the third Monday of February. This is true whether you use the calendar in use at the time of Washington's birth, or that when the holiday was declared.

President's Day is almost certainly wrong, since if the holiday is referred to this way it is referencing at least two presidents. I would think Presidents' Day would be more grammatically correct than Presidents Day, although you'll see it both ways. PA refers to it as Presidents' Day, NJ as Washington's Birthday.

Why does she insist on talking so much, and so effing loud? Does she have to verbalize every thought? It drives us insane.
you sure do seem to have a lot of time on your hands to be on this forum? Do you have a job? Are you a shut-in?
