The Dude wrote:It's really unbelievable. To pay a bill, we would write a code on the bill and send to accounting. Took about 3 seconds. We now have to go on our slow as hell intranet and find the project number (yes, everything has a project number, even if I just bought a 5 cent eraser), look that up, and then go through about 20 steps. it's about a 20 minute process for one bill now. yeah, we each process about 10 bills a week. this is all very efficient.

One of my jobs is planning production, which i have no real experience at and projecting the sale of 10 flavors that don't have consistent sales in terms of numbers OR rankings is a giant pain iun the ass...combine that with a major packaging switch in mid december so i have to try and estimate sales AND not having too many cans left over, and this was a good time for CFO dude to come up with yet ANOTHER way to plan the productions and for it not even to work within his own logic.

And that's ust one of the things i have to do this week.

Random Thought of the week - why does the universe hate me so

I know people in the giftshop at the PMA. I'm still not really sure how I lived on 7.50/hr for those five months.

Nah, she's cute. Practically a super-model compared to other women in her profession.

Ha - if you do a search in Google for WNBA it says "Did you mean NBA?"

When Soup Attacks!

Postby Goomeister » Mon Oct 01, 2007 04:01:37

Last night I was attacked by a bowl of New England clam chowder. It was like something from a Stephen King book. I heated a bowl in the microwave and when I brought it out I heard a loud pop. A very hot small portion hit my face with a speed I never knew soup could attain. I should have chosen Manhattan clam chowder. It's a less aggressive chowder and only attacks when provoked. Who knew you needed a hazmat suit just to eat a bowl of soup!
