There have been many great shows on Nickelodeon in the past, but I've come to the conclusion that The Adventures of Pete and Pete was the single greatest show in the history of Nickelodeon. Without question.

The midwest is currently overrun with swarms of cicadas. Cicadas are red-eyed, creepy-looking creatures that make an unbelievable amount of noise. The west coast is also plagued with a similar nuisance--Hollywood celebrities.

I've turned into a huge Apple nerd. I actually was looking forward to today (a Monday!) for the WWDC keynote, and can't wait to hear about new Apple stuff; hopefully, something that'll excite me about finally making the switch to Mac when Leopard is released.

All this, and yet I have no desire to get an iPhone. Or, well, my lack of desire stems from price (it's way too damn expensive), contract (I just re-upped with Sprint by adding a line), and carrier (can't stand AT&T) reasons. The iPhone itself is cool as hell, though.

What a diappointing finish to the Sopranos. When the screen went black at the end, I thought the channel somehow got switched to BET.

Apparently, George Bush is much more popular in Poland than he is here in the US. George Bush was greeted very warmly there during his recent trip to Europe. Since Bush's "Pole ratings" are so high, perhaps he should spend his entire 12-week summer vacation in Warsaw.

you sure do seem to have a lot of time on your hands to be on this forum? Do you have a job? Are you a shut-in?

On Saturday Cincinnati Bengal wide receiver Chad Johnson raced against a horse and won. Apparently Johnson ran a post pattern very fast to beat the horse, but he did not set a track record. This makes him one of only a few Bengals without a record. I had no interest in this event and frankly didn't care which jackass won. Ok, I'll give Johnson credit for the victory, but let's see how well he fares this fall against Colts and Broncos. I understand Johnson's next match with be against something with a lot of horsepower--a race car.

Of all of the groomsmen at my wedding, the one that was probably least interested in getting hooked up with a bridesmaid looks like he might become the only one that successfully did. That's good irony.

When a guy recklessly pursues a girl, ignoring her more gentle attempts to rebuff, he's generally considered a possessive, clingy douche. When a girl does the same thing, then somehow I'm the asshole!

So you've just figured out that the guy is always wrong? You must be new to relationships.

"Salute Your Shorts" was superior to both IMO.

Agreed. Megan Berwick had 'potential' written all over her (figuratively). I wonder what ever happened to her.....
