have not looked at any advanced stats or anything but I've really been impressed with Sweeney. I think he's merited a good look next year. he has a lot of strikeouts but he's in a slump right now and is still hitting for power when he connects and running deep counts. it's not like he's up there hacking

Steaks says "SUCK FOR PUK" is the motto around CBP right now and he's likely the kid they'll take at #1/#2

PUK is the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan.

This pitcher must be a Muslim and an alien. We should stay away from him and get a pitcher who tells the truth like Donald Trump.
Teams lie, sometimes for good reasons, sometimes for bad. They do it to get an advantage while they look at the trade market or just because they can

The draft was instituted in 1965 and the Phillies have only had the first overall pick once. They took Pat Burrell first in the 1998 draft and a decade later he emerged as the team leader of the franchise’s second World Series championship club.

It's funny how a narrative can change (In this case, get more accurate) over time.
Two days later I get a text back that says I'm a basketball player and a businessman, not a Thundercat.

Nothing against Puk at all, but I hope they don't go overboard with zeroing in on near-MLB-ready guys, as well as the "grow arms, buy bats" thing

The article really focuses on 3 arms - one of which is the HS kid from Barnegat, NJ

I mean Steaks mentioning how Puk could reach the majors quickly, which was clearly a point of emphasis in the Nola draft. Won't really matter if they're good, but let's not exclude high school talent

I probably haven't even watched 1/3 of actual game in the past few months for the first time in my life but every time I am watching it seems like when he is in he does something well at the plate. I like him. I still love Odubel. Think he could end up being better than good.

Mainly all I do now is go through player stats every night and watch the Pirates because I am basically forced to a lot of times(feel like I have to say that).
Do it again!

he seems to lunge a bit at the ball instead of meeting it. he's young. i say give him a good 400-500 plate appearances next year and see what he does iwth it

Right now, that is the consensus. Puk, the two h.s. arms and the kid from Oklahoma, Hansen, lagging behind those three pitchers. Maybe some bats emerge next spring to compete for the top selection but so far there isn't a standout college hitter.

Every position player and most pitchers from 08 are going up there. Don't be silly.
Fine. You wanna act like you're two? I'll act like I'm one.

I could see Werth taking a while or not making it, but Victorino for sure; ryho, Utley, jroll, one or two may even have their numbers retired, chooch is a given. Feliz, is another maybe.
