Gotta believe, that if he was a DH, new surroundings - maybe he could re-find some of his talent. It's really one of the most extreme drop-offs I've ever seen. An interesting, that after his mvp year, he's been a little worse each year following.

As a DH, new team, new uni, new media - he could just face right-handed pitching, maybe a new hitting coach - so much of hitting is mental. Has he really lost all his bat speed? power? Probably not. Just all messed up in the head. And the more he presses the worse it gets. He pops one hr here another there and gets hope but hasn't made adjustments... mental or tactical. Sad.

I was hoping for a Big Hurt kinda career and HOF for the bopper.
