Productive Outs - Phillies Random Thoughts

Maybe the scouting report is just go right at our hitters w/no baserunners. You may give up an occasional Dom-bomb, but you'll sail through 6-7 innings with like an 11 pitch per inning average. When we get the occasional baserunner, chances are you'll be able to roll a GIDP or just strike guys out.

Yup. We get ourselves out enough that opposing pitchers don't really need to try that hard. Throw strikes and watch us strike out and hit lazy flies and soft groundballs. This problem will not be easy to fix with all the money we have tied up and the fact that teams don't let good players reach FA anymore. I'm not saying it can't be done, but it will be tough

That's crazy talk. Even if the Phils suck, it's still baseball. And baseball is the greatest.

Baseball = greatest
Phillies brand of baseball so far in 2013 = unwatchable

and yet, we all still watch, which means I guess it isn't technically "unwatchable." It just feels like it.

After tonight, the next 13 games vs Milwaukee/Miami/Minnesota. If the Phillies go on a hot streak this season, it's gotta be now.

Just need to have 50 wins at the ASB to give it a real go

44 games til the asb, need to go 25-19 to get to 50 by the asb. Sounds doable to me!
