Productive Outs - Phillies Random Thoughts

We make roughly the same number of outs as every other team
I know what you're asking yourself and the answer is yes. I have a nick name for my penis. Its called the Octagon, but I also nick named my testes - my left one is James Westfall and my right one is Doctor Kenneth Noisewater.

We should get a Cuban Defector as someone mentioned in the locked thread. Maybe some tool shed. If a baseball player isn't available go for a boxer or a volleyball player. Toolsy Cubans will be a market inefficiency.

I don't think Michael Young is going to hit 20 Home Runs. WIP told me that he could.

If he keeps his current 19% FB rate, he's going to need to increase his HR/FB ratio to around 50%.

Since we play in a bandbox at home he should be able to get close to 20 homers. If you count battin practice. Lol. Omg.

As long as he maintains his .390 OBP and stops GIDPing (send the runner dammit) he will be OK by me. And he might get 3,000 hits before he's done so,there's that too.

We should get Yulieski Gurriel, but find a way to do it 6 years ago.

I hate Amaro for putting together this POS offense.

Another inherited runner scored tonight. 19 out of 39, dead last in the majors

Every out we make is an out closer to Amaro getting the boot. That's pretty damn productive if you ask me.

I know you guys had to listen to me bitch and whine before the season started about this stuff, so no need to recount the previous stuff here. But I think the thing that's annoying me the most right now, and it's something I didn't mention before the season, is that the team was constructed so that it basically has no strengths anymore, beyond the starting pitching (which hasn't really been a strength, though I don't think that's his fault). The defense is bad and the speed is bad and the power is bad and the on-base skills are bad. If he wanted to remake the team in his own twisted image, it would have been nice if there was something it did well. It would be nice if we were given a reason to watch. Through the 90's, I felt there was always something to watch, even if it was just a few players or one thing the team did well. We kinda do everything bad right now and that's making it very difficult to enjoy watching the games. Add in the fact that I have to stay up to 1:00am to watch the beginning of a game and my motivation to be involved is just about shot.

Thanks, Amaro.

The problem is Amaro won't get the boot. He will blame it on Halladays injury and he will blame the players for not executing. Nevermind that his offseason plan was to hope and pray that Halladay would return to normal, the two Youngs and Revere would provide a boost to the offense, and the bullpen performance last year was a fluke so everything would be fine this year.
