Productive Outs - Phillies Random Thoughts

You're correct.

I agree with you - Floyd was the one that hurt more than Gio. Gio kept floundering around, and I'm convinved his success is directly a result of PED use.

Floyd had raw talent and a very good arm. I hated how they messed with him.

But yeah. Though I think it's worth noting that, one, the Phillies had jerked Floyd around for a few years at that point, and I'm not sure it ever would have happened for him here; and two, Gio was traded three times before he really figured it out with the A's.

what's worse, that's an improvement.
much better woba (which gives more weight to walks than ops) in may with a 0% walk rate than in april with a 9% walk rate or in his previous mlb career with even higher walk rates.

They're now saying Utley got hurt right before the game. But if it's any consolation, the alligator looks fucked up

Would Bailey be in play, or would he be the Sox' set-up guy?

I could see them going for him, especially if he pitches well upon his return from the DL and you could spin it as not much of a downgrade. Local guy, half the AAV, free agent after next year...

I'd prefer BATTS

That would be absolutely wonderful. We could probably pick up Brentz and another prospect in the deal. At this rate, Justin de Fratus will be closing by July.

Just because the Phillies get blown the fuck out every third game and it's almost Memorial Day, all of a sudden everybody wants to sell, sell, sell. What a bunch of pussies.

And half of the team's games have been against the Marlins.

Yea, once we get the tough teams out of the way it's smooth sailing.
