Since he will be a FA next year, who is going to sign him? Hope that if he gives it a go next year, it's as a Phillies

I think plenty of teams will take a chance on Roy Halladay being decent. I mean, look how long it took teams to figure out that Oswalt was cooked. They still haven't.

He'll need to show he can come back and pitch. Teams will give him tryouts. If it looks like he can still pitch, someone will sign him.

But let's see what the problem is here first.

I think that actually helps his case. His agent can go to teams and say "Come on, nobody falls off the table like this, he's clearly not a 9 ERA pitcher. He was hurt. He's fine now!"

I mean, I think if Roy wants to come back, he'll be here. But I don't think it's a slam dunk cheap one-year deal.

If Halladay is indeed cooked, I wonder what it means for Lee. On one hand, the team will likely be struggling and desperately in need of a talent infusion, but on the other hand, it might make Lord Smug want to hold on to him and try to buy talent in a weak FA class.

LOL at Manuel saying over and over that Doc is healthy at the exact moment Amaro and Halladay are telling the media he's hurt.

Embarassing and Flyers-esque.

I can't prove it, but both Halladay and Amaro are full of shit. It's been his shoulder all along not the absurd, bullshit excuses for the last 9 months. They both knew it.

if his shoulder is fucked, hes done for 6-9 months. which is probably the same scenario last year. so instead of facing facts, he tried to gut his way through it to help the team.

Yep. Even if he lost a couple MPH just from getting older, no way does a healthy Halladay pitch as poorly as he has. It's been obvious for a while that he's been injured.

Hopefully Halladay's injury expedites a Cliff Lee trade. Any of the potential interested teams (LAA, LAD, BOS, BAL) would be better served with him earlier than later. I see the best two fits for Lee as LAD or BOS; both have the prospects and financial resources to give the right return.

I don't know... After Halladay had those three good starts, Dubee was pretty arrogant about the media killing him off prematurely...

Dubee brusquely declined to speak about Halladay’s work during an interview session with reporters Sunday.

“I’m not going to talk about it,” Dubee said. “Everybody bashed Roy Halladay long enough. Now he has a couple of good ones and all of a sudden he’s a Cy Young candidate. You guys ride that roller coaster and we’ll stay where we’re at. Let Roy be Roy.”

I don't think he does that if he knows Halladay's shoulder is cooked.

How is tempering high expectations being arrogant?

So we lost 14-2 twice in about a week span. Impressive.
