I have a hard time distinguishing Aumon'ts fastball/change without looking at the gun. The movement is ridiculous.

Yeah Charlie saying he himself was one of the top evaluators. Apparently Gillick told him that.

The Gelb Philly.com article today has the headline "Phillies Notes: Jimmy Rollins out of leadoff spot for first time since 2004." Rollins has been out of the lead off spot plenty of times since 2004. The article mentions it was his first time hitting 2nd since 2004.

Honestly I'm not too pissed about last night. Revere and Utley were awesome, Dom was solid. Hamels made a few bad pitches and Durbin stunk up the joint but they battled.

I'm not so worried about the Phillies as I am impressed with the braves lineup

Doubt it could've been worse than listening to Mark Mulder talk about his buddy Tim Hudson. Throw in Sean McDonough's prattling, and it was unbearable.

It reminded me of the "You are the man" clip. Wheeler actually had a good point about how strong his legs must be feeling to get one out to CF on a cool night

(I assume you meant to type "the first time he hasn't batted leadoff".)

But it's the first time he hasn't batted leadoff on opening day since last year. He actually hasn't been leadoff on opening day since 2010. He has been the replacement Utley 3 hole hitter in early April for the past two years and only went back to leadoff in late April/early May.

Interesting. Glad to see Zeke has a decent walk rate in the minors, for a variety of reasons.
