Enough time has past to ask Miami about Stanton again. Sure, it will not happen, but it fills the fantasy game void offered by the quietest part of the hot stove season.

Will our outfield finish last in the league in homeruns?

An obvious point, but that Smugs is saying "we're probably done" is the best reason to believe they aren't done.

Will announce Stanton deal the day the Eagles hire their HC.

Phils to win WS at 60-1 seems like good value.

I don't know much (anything) about gambling, how does that work? If I bet $100 on the phillies to win it all and they do, I get $6,000?

Yep, actually $6,100 including your original wager. But ScoresandOdds.com has us at 14-1, same at STL and SFG. The LA teams and Detroit are favorites right now at 7-1. Red Sox 30-1 is an interesting longshot.

yeah, just checked 5Dimes and they have 18-1. the bleacher reports article had them listed at 60-1, but no idea where they were getting that from?

i don't know anything about gambling either, as will be evident by this question-

would i be "allowed" to put $1000 on every team, knowing that one of them is going to win? would i have to split it between multiple casinos/ bookies/ wherever bets are actually placed knowing that i'd be certain to come out in the black?

if one of the favorites win you'd lose money.

Right, but you could do it to minimize your down side risk, right? Buy on all the tms figuring that if the favorite wins, you'll get back something and if a higher risk bet wins then you reap the benefits. I dunno, I guess it depends on what all the odds are if it make any kind of sense at all.

There are 30 teams, so you're out $30,000. Unless the WS winner is better than 30-1, you'll lose money.
