He would probably be a good 3B coach. Easy to spot after rounding 2nd.

Im perfectly fine with fourth. Just get to the playoffs and take your chances. This team is built for the playoffs with Halladay, Hamels, Lee, Adams and Papelbon.
Amaro was asked specifically whether he'd be reluctant to forfeit a first-round pick for a guy such as Swisher.
"If we think it's the right guy to sign, we'll sign him," Amaro said. "I mean, a lot of it depends. First-round picks are important, but, at the same time, if we feel like short term, long term we should go that route . . . we're still trying to figure it out."

Phils needed to make a lot of moves this off season rather than one big move. Wanted to stay flexible. Might go with OF of Brown/Mayberry and Nix/Ruf and might not. Very enlightening.
Showing some highlights from his playing days. Very thin hands. Plus plus smug.

In many ways, this is an offseason that Pat Gillick would be proud of. Some refuse to give Amaro credit but I will.
He's done a good job in an offseason with so few impact players and so many ridiculous contracts given to mediocre players.
