That's the official word, yes

Looked like he was running out of gas (and getting red in the face) quicker than previous years, but that could have been from overcompensating

I was gonna say, even a freaking oblique strain or cramp is tough to play through. In softball.

after he came back from his DL stint, he was back to throwing in the mid 90's after averaging 89 for most of the year, and looked fine.

i can only assume he re-injured his side, which would explain why batters were saying it was easy to locate his breaking pitches

less concerned now

Yeah, to me he looked nothing like the Doc we know and love.

there were maybe 3 starts when he was hitting it, but i don't know if he was hitting that number to test things out or not

Doc hasn't been in the mid-90's in a while. I'm not sure how often he even touched 93 this year

It is believed the Indians have offered Swisher a four-year deal that could be worth around $50 million.

Short of injury, I find it hard to believe Swisher won't be worth more than 50 million over the next 4 years.

$50MM and a first round pick. That's undoubtedly the big issue.

The Cleveland Indians and Philadelphia Phillies were reportedly in discussions about a trade involving shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera, but interest has since waned on both sides. The Phillies offered pitcher Vance Worley and prospects for Cabrera, according to Paul Hoynes of the Plain Dealer. With shortstop Jimmy Rollins signed through 2014, Philadelphia apparently wanted Cabrera to play third base.

But when Cleveland asked for more in return for Cabrera, the deal fell through. Both teams have obviously moved on. The Phillies traded Worley and minor-leaguer Trevor May to the Minnesota Twins for centerfielder Ben Revere. Philadelphia also addressed its need at third by acquiring Michael Young from the Texas Rangers.
