It is believed the Indians have offered Swisher a four-year deal that could be worth around $50 million.

The Cleveland Indians and Philadelphia Phillies were reportedly in discussions about a trade involving shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera, but interest has since waned on both sides. The Phillies offered pitcher Vance Worley and prospects for Cabrera, according to Paul Hoynes of the Plain Dealer. With shortstop Jimmy Rollins signed through 2014, Philadelphia apparently wanted Cabrera to play third base.
But when Cleveland asked for more in return for Cabrera, the deal fell through. Both teams have obviously moved on. The Phillies traded Worley and minor-leaguer Trevor May to the Minnesota Twins for centerfielder Ben Revere. Philadelphia also addressed its need at third by acquiring Michael Young from the Texas Rangers.
