Guessing this has been pointed out elsewhere, but I just noticed that the Phillies (55-65) and Orioles (65-55) have the same run differential (-45).

Crappy bullpen performance often makes run differential irrelevant.

Just watched the end of the replay of Halladay's perfect game, and while I obviously knew how it came out I still freaked out when I realized Juan Castro was playing third on the final grounder.

Yep.

For more evidence see Philadelphia Phillies circa 2008. Didn't we actually have a thread making fun of it because it had us at like 85 wins and constantly behind the Braves?
