This is truth. I kind of want to know how much Hale was making. I don't blame him for moving to ESPN. I assume he was making about 32-35K. Then again, you're paid to write about baseball. It's why I want to get into the business. If I spent one day in the press box writing about baseball I'd probably never stop smiling.

Even if they're getting screwed on salary, they are on per diem for basically 1/3 of the calendar year. That adds up.
