obvious thing in his mets ownership scenario is dragging the wilpons' share into the gutter between now and 3 yrs from now

it just wouldn't fit his M.O. for him to lock in the strike price of his 60% option at or above current market value, and his history is one of willingness, if not eagerness, to influence the market's opinion of assets he takes an interest in

ergo, I'm inclined to believe the mets will occupy a predictable lower-echelon position in the NL East firmament for the next 2 years or so

So, he bought his portion of the Mets at a 600 million dollar value. That will look genius in a few years.

Between the Mets' downward spiral on the field and their collapse off of it, combined with the rise of the other teams in the division, I may some day start feeling bad for them.

I'm not nearly there yet, but that previously unthinkable day may come, especially if there are more vids like that Murph vid. As someone in their thread said, he sounded like Toby from The Office.
