A few years ago, when the Expos were in trouble, an enterprising fellow in the early days of the internet put up a website asking ordinary fans to pledge support: no one had to put any money up, but people did have to say what they WOULD be willing to put up if this guy got enough regular fans to sign on. In other words, he was forming an investment group on the internets.
I think BSG should start this. I'd put up $1,000 toward buying the Mets. Who else is in? I assume we can put Trent Steele down for $500M, so if the rest of us can just pony up a little dough, BSG could own the New York Mets!
