The O.C. has been canceled.
Last episode airs Feb. 22nd.

I'm gonna guess that I'm the only one here that watches the O.C.

I don't watch, but I've seen some commercials and would like to know: does the main character really become a pit fighter in the latest season?

On the topic of political satire, has the UK show The Thick of It made it over the water yet? Imagine The Office, but focussing on spin doctors from the labour and conservative parties and how they handle MPs. The level of near constant panic and aggression makes you laugh hard. Its genius, although they do swear a bucket load in it (especially peter capaldi's character, closely modelled on Alastair Campbell, former director of communications and strategy for the labour party). There's very little caricature of actual politicians in it, so I think it would translate well to the states.

Haha, he was a cage fighter for one (maybe 2) episodes. It was his way of dealing with Mischa Barton's death. :?

It was mentioned way earlier in this thread, but are there any Friday Night Lights fans out there? It's pretty much the only show I regularly watch this year, and it's got great writing, it's shot very well and the acting has been amazing. The kid who plays Matt Serican (sp?) totally captures all the awkward weirdness of being a high school kid, and Coach Taylor and his family are all standouts. My only fear is that it gets to be too soapy and there has to be an insane crisis every week (this happened with Boston Public a few years back).

I enjoy Friday Night Lights, I enjoyed the movie, I was disappointed to find out the song I enjoy in the commercials so much is from my chemical romance but what are you going to do.

I hope that it makes it to a second season, but how are they going to have the coach 'blow' the UT QB job, cause nothing personal to dillon texas, but I would think QB coach at UT is a better gig.

I caught up with Friday Night Lights over Christmas weekend and really enjoyed them all. Hopefully NBC is willing to give it a second season and hope that people catch on with the first season when it's on DVD.

New Office on tonight.

Maybe the upcoming Street family lawsuit against Taylor might give him a bad name to UT? As for the music, in both the movie and TV show, they prominently feature music by Explosions in the Sky, which is an instrumental band from Texas who are really good. I'm not a huge instrumental fan, but they really play cool, moody guitar driven stuff. You can listen to some of their stuff here (you might recognize "Hand in Mine" from the movie): http://www.myspace.com/texasband

That chick from Heroes (and remember the titans) gets quite a few internet votes.

NBC likes its jailbait cheerleaders don't it?

FNL's ratings were a bit up for tuesday's norm
TKOP and ICOE's were up from Day Break's, but probably gonna go down when up against Idol and a new Criminal Minds.

If Friday Night Lights is on iTunes, I think I'll start downloading it based on all y'alls suggestions.
