I cant get into Studio 60 at all, its too smug. I hated west wing for the same reasons.

Interesting thoughts on comics and film by neil gaiman here.
Moore was interviewed on BBC2's the culture show this year and said he felt that a tale told in comic book form just didn't lend itself to film. I'm pretty much okay with his stance on the adaptations - it's not *his* story, so why should he be bothered, so long as they pay him for the use of his characters. Sometimes the results are interesting (I enjoyed V for Vendetta, but london wasn't present as a presence in the film was the films wasn't as dark a place than the comic, and in truth, it was harder for it to be relevant - Blair's Britain is not Thatcher's Britain, and the fears of a far right takeover are not as prevalent as they once were).
I'm more concerned about the next Batman film. Nolan's Batman Begins was the best portrayal I've seen of the Batman character and the world of gotham - but next he's taking on a tricky relationship in Batman vs the Joker. I want to see a cinema treatment of that relationship every bit as compelling, insightful and human as Moore's The Killing Joke - and on paper Nolan, who is an actor's director (to my mind) should deliver. But he gets funny with his clever-clever tricks and characters can get lost in the process (Insomnia a classic example to my mind), so I'm worried it won't come off.
Still, knowing its heath ledger as the joker, and having seen his performance in Brokeback Mountain over christmas, I think they've got an interesting guy to do the joker.

Yes, I just don't go out of my way to watch it like I do the others.
