IS there any real way to do it without having some kind of deux ex machina cop out?

Yeah, that situation is pretty untenable with that many weapons pointed at one person. There's no realistic way to get out of that.

There's a way - but it's pretty x-rated and would require a lot of work by our star

10. The Sopranos- Johnny Cakes
The grossest gay relationship of all time comes to fruition as Vito and Mr. Cakes express their mutual attraction. Hot.
9. Scrubs- My Lunch
In perhaps the best moment in the shows history, we see an emotional breakdown from the brilliant John C. McGinley to the tune of The Misconceptions. I'm just kidding, they suck. It was The Fray.
8. Friday Night Lights- Get 'Er Done
Tough to pick an episode out of this consistently excellent series, but Kyle Chandler and the team benching full of himself 'Nawlins motherfucking Ray Tatum to go back to everyones favorite awkward stutter Matt Sarascen was awsome.
7. Jericho- Pilot
In what was one of the best pilots of a strong year, this episode left everyone confused, intruiged and interested in what the hell happened who the hell this black man was. Even though the show hasn't lived up to the pilot, it's still heald enough of my interest to serve as a prelude to Lost.
6. Extras- David Bowie
"Little fat man sold his soul....chubby little loser....pug, pug. pug pug...."
5. Deadwood- Tell Him Something Pretty
Gripping finale to a fantastic final season, culmination of the evil George Hurst's stay in town, the election, and just yet another amazing performence from the ignored Ian McShane.
4. Lost- Live Together, Die Alone
Michael and Walt gone. Jack, Sawyer and Kate captured. Locke, Desmond, Charlie and Eko blown up. And, oh yea, "we found it." Can't ask much for a season finale than that.
3. The Office- Casino Night
zOMG Jim and Pam. And it also really funny.
2. Arrested Development- S.O.B.'s
Remember this one? It aired on January 2nd. It made of the fact that the show was gonna be cancelled and that no one watched it. It also featured cameos from Phillip Litt, Tony Wonder, Judge Reinhold of Mock Trial with J Reinhold and we all learned the recipe for such fine meals as chicken with chicken sauce and hot ham water. Sister is my new mother mother.
1. The Wire- Final Grades
The best episode of the best season of the best show in the history of television. Pacino, everyone. Pacino.
1. The Wire
I haven't seen every television show ever, but I'm fairly certain this was the greatest season for one. Fact.
2. Arrested Development
Yea, only 5 episodes. But bla bla bla it's good
3. The Office
Superb finish to the second season and not missing much of a beat so far this season. All indications are that the Christmas show is the best yet, looking foward to it.
4. Lost
Yea the repeats sucked, and it kinda dragged. But when the Portguese guy in the Arctic said "We found it," who the hell didnt flip bleep?
5. South Park
Another banner year. Episodes range of stupid funny to smart funny to poignant social commentary. Plus they constantly piss off everyone, and at the same time throw in toilet humor. Great stuff.
6. 24
Ive been missing on all the fun, watched the entire series so far in less than a month. Season 5 took me 2 days, and even though I knew the twist about President Logan, this still was about the most thrilling hour you can watch. Jack cant get back soon enough.
7. Scrubs
Season 5 was probably the best yet, with episodes that continue to make you laugh and at the same time move you. Maybe the best moment for the series was Cox walking out on a patient, crying, giving up, to the tune of How to Save a Life by the Fray. And it's a comedy show.
8. The Sopranos
They might never top seasons 1 and 2, but from Tony getting shot, his compelling dream sequences to Johnny Cakes, this show is still one of the best.
9. Friday Night Lights
Thoroughly suprised by the fact that this show bombed. It's by far the best new show of the season, maybe since Lost. People ask for realistic characters, compelling storylines and relatable situations....and it's all right here and no one is watching it.
10. Dexter
Hidden gem on Showtime, Michael C. Hall is chillingly creepy as the lead. Didn't really know what to expect out of this show, but have been captivated by the entire story and the cast of characters. With one episode to go, let's hope Dexter saves his sister and kills the ITK. But I have feeling it'll come at a price: revealing his true identity to her.
