DSP's TV Thread (with J.E. Magee) [OT]

Postby VoxOrion » Sat Dec 30, 2006 17:05:19

I can't wait. At first I thought it would be "lite", but by the end, I was really impressed with all of the conclusions/theories/whatnot that you can bad around in your head about it.

Someone is doing a US remake (as if there wouldn't be one), I think it might be JJ Abrams. Like all import as remake's, it'll either suck or be really good. I'l be hoping for the latter, more good TV the better.

It's the only time Comcast has listed so far. It was on Christmas day before.
Fine. You wanna act like you're two? I'll act like I'm one.

SCORE!
''I don't know what was harder - that (Phillies lineup) or the All-Star team lineup,'' Haren said.

DSP is slacking. I'll post pertinent information from other sites for him:

When shows return:

The Office (NBC) Jan. 4
Extras (HBO) Jan. 14
Rome (HBO) Jan. 14
24 (Fox) Jan. 14
Battlestar Galactica (SciFi) Jan. 21
Heroes (NBC) Jan. 22
Studio 60 (NBC) Jan. 22
Prison Break (Fox) Jan. 29
Lost (ABC) Feb. 7
Jericho (CBS) Feb. 21

If it's not on here, it doesn't matter.

As if there was any doubt, David Tennant will not be leaving Doctor Who at the end of season three. BBC says so here => LINK

There are several good shows you missed. The Shield, The Wire, Sopranos, 30 Rock, I could go on. And I wouldnt call Jericho good either. Very lame, IMO. Prison Break and 24 are a bit much, too.

Outside of Office, Studio 60 and BSG, I listed all on the front page. Nice try, Don.

Great episode of futurama on adult swim tonight. They replay it at 2am. It's the one where Bender gets shot into space and drifts around awhile. A colony of little people show up living on him, and he plays God, and then he meets God. It's a really good episode. One of my favorites, probably second only to the episode with Frey's dog, Seymour.

I love Futurama. I always forget to tell TiVo to watch it for me.

My favorite is the one where Professor Farnsworth gives Fry (or Zoidberg, I can't remember) a laxative:

"He'll be lucky if he has any bones left."

Is that the one where he has worms, and they make him a better holophone player?

Yeah - I think so. Leela and co have to shrink down and go inside him. I think it's a take on that lost in space episode (among other things).

Yeah, I never understand that reasoning: I had to make sure you loved me, not the worms. I'd eat worms if it made me a better holophone player.
