Are files from BitTorrent the same quality? If so, I'll be BitTorrenting Friday Night Lights based on all y'alls suggestions.

William H. Macy, "Nightmares & Dreamscapes"

Isn't that a Sandman story? Was there a Sandman adaptation that I totally missed or is this something completely different?

Nightmares and Dreamscapes was a 'novella' collection from Stephen King, similar to The Bachman Books (but probably not as good, cause the long walk is just awesome) that TNT turned into a mini series event.

The Sandman collection you are thinking of, I believe, has a slightly different title.

If Neil Gaiman is paying attention, I don't think any of his 'creations' will ever be turned into anything cinematic, which is a shame, cause i'd love to see some sort of animated series of the sandman similar to what they did with spawn (but better)

What does The Wire have to do just to get nominated for a non-critics award?

You can at least look forward to the upcoming HBO series adaptation of The Preacher. I would love to see them also do Y The last Man

I could, if I had any faith that they'd maintain what was done in the comic books, i mean seriously, a 'hero' who is out to find (and destroy) god, a 200 year old alcoholic vampire who is a slut, the 'holy line' of christ so inbred that the current heir is more retarded than Forrest Gump? Let's just say I'm INCREDIBLY wary of the scheduled preacher series.

Of course, the fact that global frequency never made the air also makes me wary...plus the lousy adaptations (movies) of Spawn, LXG, COnstantine, etc...I don't think the moving picture folks know how to handle the 'out of the ordinary' comic books and really should just stay away.

Possibly, don't know, but still a great read

I'm not sure. It's pretty funny that it's continually ignored.

This is from Wiki:
The film rights to the series have been acquired by New Line Cinema, and as of April 2006 Vaughan has been given the chance to write the screenplay. There is no scheduled release date.

It is a shame because Y would be an excellent TV series.

Brian K Vaughn has joined the writing staff of Lost as well.

at least its on HBO, so it has a shot to be good, for the most part HBO doesnt shy away from controversy.

Poor Alan Moore, so far all of his adaptations have been crap. I dont blame him for wanting his name removed from any tv or movie projects. A Top Ten animated series would be awesome.

I'd like to see Fables as a series - i think fables is just excellent, there are some great books out there that would make great animated series...like on adult swim, or showtime after 11 or whatever they do to hide the mature cartoons.

Y probably makes a bad movie though...not enough time.

Well the 'best' alan moore work ever done has been in movie production limbo for decades, it's doubtful watchmen will ever be made into a movie (and that's probably a good thing for Moore)

A 90minute to 2 hour movie will never do the series justice, heck the story hassnt been finished and its had over 50 comic books come out.

They actually had a website last year promoting the film while Greengrass was slated as director. Its gone now. Unless it becomes a cable miniseries I hope Watchmen stays in limbo.

As long as Nicolas Cage isn't Jesse Custer, I'm fine with whoever they cast.

Never read Preacher, but it sounds pretty good from your guy's comments. I loved the Watchmen and am extremely wary of that becoming anything other than a 12 part HBO/Sho miniseries.
Anyone else here dig on Dexter? That was my favorite show of the season, along with Heroes. Now that it's off, it's back to loving heroes and trying really hard to get into Studio 60. At least the Office and House are good. Although I am officially done with the Tritter arc in House.
