Have you seen the preview for Heroes with the highlights of Brett Favre? I kind of even like Favre, and I found it somewhat vomit-inducing.

It's almost done.

I think it's fantastic. The actor who plays Jack really sucked IMO in Doctor Who, he's really good in Torchwood.

I felt like it's just your run of hte mill freak of the week sort of scifi show. I'm not going to think it's better because it's got some accents.

Hous - I agree with you that Weeds is nothing special and sort of fits everyone into these easy little stereotypes, but I watch it simply to see where the story's going.

pacino = too cool for Vox.

Torchwood is more than just a freak of the week to me, because I'm a big Doctor Who fan. Otherwise, I might agree with you.

What other freak of the week shows are there? Are you counting Ghost Whisperer and Medium? I don't watch either, but can't imagine they have the nuts and characterization that Torchwood does.

Torchwood kicks ass. I think episode 1x07 or 1x08, it's like Texas Chain Saw Massacre and The Village, in a good way.

I'm jonesing for some good tv.

Tim and Eric look like they're getting a new show of their own on Adult Swim. They're the creators of Tom Goes to the Mayor. Eric went to my high school and is generally pretty awesome dude. smock

you sure do seem to have a lot of time on your hands to be on this forum? Do you have a job? Are you a shut-in?

I'm thoroughly addicted to all three....8pm The Lost Evidence, 9pm Shootout, and Dogfights...... watching it right now.

Anybody watching Rome?.....lots of sex, lots of violence ....no profanity though and no Jersey accent.

Voxes definitely watch Rome.

Is The Lost Evidence one of the true crime shows? Those are my guilty pleasure -- Cold Case Files, Forensic Files, and the new one done by authors of crime novels. I forget the name of it.

Our old friend Scott Graham is doing the play-by-play on ESPN2 for a college basketball game
''I don't know what was harder - that (Phillies lineup) or the All-Star team lineup,'' Haren said.

I haven't seen it mentioned yet, but I understand that the UK series Life on Mars is being screened stateside now. Its a detective series set in 70s manchester, except the main character may have travelled back in time 30 years. or he may be in a coma and its all in his head. It sounds corny, but the acting is superb (John Simm is the lead). They're finishing shooting of series two now, which looks to be the final one.

My original thoughts on it here (you'll have to skip past some tedious ranting at the start).

Kid needs work. Out of job with the Phillies and the A10 (though CSTV, which now has A10 games, may have picked him up). Alls he got is the CN8 gig and some ESPN games.

Info here. also here.
From what we've seen (both the wife and me scouring t'internet but not very assiduously) it looks to be in the next two months. DVD set is deffo worth a look, tho' I've held off watching the episodes with commentary from Simm and Glenister (Then again, I've still not watched 24 Hour Party People with commentary from Tony Wilson).
