Yes, but in a double utley you can put your utley on top they other guy's utley, and you're the winner. (Swish)

Goldstein over at BP says this:

Neil (NJ): The Phillies will be sorry if they trade ______ for Doc Halladay.

Kevin Goldstein: Chase Utley. Provided they could get Halladay to sign an extension, there is no Philly prospect who should be untouchable.
Teams lie, sometimes for good reasons, sometimes for bad. They do it to get an advantage while they look at the trade market or just because they can

"If (Halladay's) driving the bus, he'll come to us," one Phillies person said, alluding to the fact that Halladay's winter compound is just down the road from the Phillies' spring complex in Clearwater, Fla.

Heyman

Not really even sure what this means, though.

Well, Halladay could force the Jays' hand and say he'll only go to Philadelphia.

Maybe it means "If Halladay really only wants to come to the Phillies, he'll force their hand" like Santana did with the Twins

Kind of reminds me of the Schilling to Boston trade. Phils were basically his only interest for weeks, then Theo swoops in and convinces him that the Sox aren't so bad.

Halladay saying he'll only go to the Phillies could also be bad. The team may try to just stick it to him and not trade him anywhere, in return for pulling their pants down at the negotiating table.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if this is the case. All indications were that he wanted to be traded to the Phillies in July and was disappointed when it didn't work out. It could very well be that the Jays have to do everything in their power to make a deal work with the Phillies before going to plan B.

Perhaps Verducci didn't really write that article. Perhaps the real author is...

The 2010 Phillies remind me of the 2007 Mets, only their rotation is better going in:

40 y/o Tom Glavine vs...... Cliff Lee
?? y/o Orlando Hernandez vs..... Cole Hamels
John Maine vs...... J.A. Happ
Oliver Perez vs..... Scott Blanton
Placeholder for Pedro Martinez vs....... ???????

Maybe the Phillies will go with Brian Lawrence...... but I'd bet on something much much better
